Geeta Maker-Clark M.D.

Geeta believes that any meaningful healing must involve the mind, body and spirit, and that whenever possible the most natural and least invasive intervention serves the highest good of the person. She has pursued study with traditional healers, midwives, herbalists and energy healers, master physicians, farmers and land activists in many countries around the world including Brazil, Belize, India, Venezuela, Cuba, and much of the United States. Her personal and professional work addresses the health issues arising at the intersection of culture, race, food traditions, lifestyle and inequity in the food system. Her work with food is deeply rooted in the belief that if you trace back just a few generations, every person comes from a rich culture of healthy, medicinal foods, and that food is deeply personal and part of a larger socio-political system.

Geeta is a graduate of the University of Arizona Fellowship in Integrative Medicine, under the supervision and mentorship of Dr. Andrew Weil. She is a certified prenatal yoga instructor, a practicing yogini for the last 20 years, and a devoted student of life.

Hemalayaa

Hemalayaa brings holistic well-being to mainstream audiences through her magnetic blend of ancient wisdom and modern mindfulness. 

With over 23 years experience guiding Ayurvedic principles and yogic sciences globally, she blends time-honored modalities with contemporary mindfulness. Hemalayaa guides coaches, therapists, executives and high-achievers to break through limitations and access deeper fulfillment.

Her passion is making ancient practices practical for modern lifestyles while igniting presence and potential in busy professionals.

• A non-refundable deposit of $600 is due at registration to reserve your space.

• Receive a $222 discount if you pay-in-full by November 1, 2024.

• To be officially registered for the retreat, please complete these 3 steps:

1. Make payment via Venmo HERE (friends and family to avoid additional fees) or Credit Card HERE. If payment is made via Credit Card please add an additional 3% processing fee to your total. Contact Sherrie to pay via check.
2. Sign the retreat agreements page HERE.
3. Complete the retreat information form HERE.

• Your room will be reserved for 24 hours until the these three steps are completed. Once these three steps happen you will be officially registered for the retreat!

• Once you book your flight, please send Sherrie your flight information.

• Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be given after payments are made for the March 15-22, 2025 Costa Rica Yoga Love Sanctuary Retreat. Due to arrangements made with Embody Costa Rica, there can be no exceptions to this policy. After the deposit is made upon registration, 50% of the remaining balance is due by September 1, 2024 and full payment is due November 1, 2024 unless prior arrangements have been made and authorized.  In case of cancellation, you may transfer your deposit or your reservation to another person as long as you notify me at least 30 days in advance of the program.  Please contact Sherrie if you need special timing on payments. All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver and agreement to the cancellation policy to register and attend the retreat. This helps to ensure that we all understand these agreements. Thank you! I HIGHLY recommend that you consider purchasing Travel Insurance. Travel insurance companies like TRAVEL GUARD or insuremytrip.com offer policies that insure your investment in case you need to cancel (including “cancel for any reason” coverages), coverages for expenses incurred due to to weather & travel delays, personal property loss and emergency travel medical.  Please review policies carefully to choose the coverage you need.
